Happy Anniversary to Anita Baker and her album Rapture as they celebrate 30 years. Rapture is the second album by the sultry singer Anita Baker. It was released in 1986, and became her breakout album, selling over 8 million copies worldwide (of which 5 million in the US[5]) and earning her two Grammy Awards.
The first track off of the album, “Sweet Love”, was a top 10 Billboard hit and won Baker a Grammy Award. other hits off of the album include “Caught Up in the Rapure”, “Same Ol Love”, “No One in the World”, “You Bring me Joy” In 1989, Rapture was ranked #36 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 100 greatest albums of the 1980s.
