For the Love of Fathers Alzheimer’s Relief Event Recap

Romiah Armstrong Joins the Race for a Cure

The first day of March proved to be exceptionally beneficial for charity and a triumphant experience for Quente’Sential Branding client, Romiah Armstrong. Tiny “Tameka” Harris and her mother Diane Cottle-Pope along with close family, friends, and other business partners took over Chicago’s Nancy’s Pizza located in Buckhead with a fun-filled, family- oriented event to raise money in support of families faced with the struggles derived from complications with Alzheimer’s Disease.

For the Love of Our Fathers Foundation was established after the recent passing of Tiny Harris’s father who suffered from Alzheimer’s Disease for several years. The “Coins for Change” event welcomed a plethora of familiar faces including Shekinah Jo, Tiny’s newest girl group French Kixx, and several members of Atlanta’s own Family Hustle. Several media outlets, BE Magazine and celebrity blogger Freddy-O among them, came out to support the cause. Volunteers, guests, and patrons alike shared in emotional testimony from victims’ families which provided in depth detail as to the seriousness and need of the fundraiser.

The day was not all work and no play as local artists took to the mic the pay homage to the occasion and to showcase their talents. R&B/ Neo-Soul artist, Romiah Armstrong, delivered a captivating performance of John Legends’ “All of Me”, and he stunned the building when he returned to the mic with a passionate duet with local artist, Jasmine Burke. Romiah owned his time in the intimate setting with extraordinary presence and deliverance. The soulful phenomenon, accompanied by a single keyboardist, brought flavor to the moment. With his Quente’Sential branding team on deck, Romiah Armstrong left a powerful impression amongst all those in attendance.

As the event came to a close, no person left uninspired to make a difference. Alzheimer’s affects more and more people each year; Tiny Harris and members of the Family Hustle left a significant impact on the community today. Everyone present shared in an experience filled with fun, fellowship and  delicious food provided by Chicago’s Nancy’s Pizza.
